The UFC returns to Macau this Saturday for the first time in years with a bantamweight main event that carries clear title implications.

Song Yadong, ranked No. 5 and competing in front of a home crowd, faces former two-time flyweight champion Deiveson Figueiredo, ranked No. 7 at 135 pounds. The card features several fighters with regional ties and rebound opportunities.

Prelims begin at 10:00 a.m. ET on Paramount+, with the main card at 1:00 p.m. ET.

I'm usually out and about around this time, so I'll miss it live. But the off time doesn't mean it's an off card.

So, let's look at the main event...

Song Yadong vs. Deiveson Figueiredo

Song enters with momentum from recent wins and strong performances in Asia. He brings high-volume striking, improving defensive wrestling, and the intangible of fighting at home after a disputed loss to Sean O’Malley. His stated goal remains clear: position for a title shot.

Figueiredo brings elite finishing ability and championship experience, but has shown vulnerabilities in recent bantamweight outings against top competition. He has split training camps and emphasized an aggressive approach for this matchup.

Song seems to be the favorite for this one.

I don't disagree, but Figueiredo has had some quality experience, and a filler guillotine if it gets locked in early. Plus, he seems to have exposed his plan by calling for a late finish, which means he's looking to test Song's cardio against his own.

They're both coming off losses with lots to prove, so it should be fun.

But this sport eats older fighters for breakfast, and with Song's output, I could see him taking a decision.
