Trust your gut

You don't need me to tell you to trust your gut.

How many times have you said it to yourself after a realization hits you?

Probably, a lot.

Well, it just happened to me after UFC 320. If you remember, last weekend, before the event, I asked AI to predict the outcome of the main event. It went with the consensus of pretty much everyone in that Magamed Ankalev would impose his wrestling against Alex Pereira.

He certainly tried, but when it comes to Pereira, he's got more than a puncher's chance against most people.

I knew that when I sent my post, and if you're using the free Fight Night Companion Card I sent people, you probably had an inkling of that too. When I sent the post on AI last week, I agreed with it, but Pereira's odds for UFC 320 on the night I wrote were also +320.

With the number 320 all over the place, I had it in my mind to put some cash down on him to win via KO/TKO. I even had the conversation with one of my training partners that I was GOING to do it. And you know what I did?

I COMPLETELY FORGOT!!! πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ

Maybe it's because I'm getting old. But when you get that feeling in your gut, especially about a fighter you've been tracking for a while, and he wins the way you know he wins. Remember to always trust your gut.

The other way to remember to do something is to always write it down. That's why a PDF version of the Fight Night Companion Card exists, so you can do the act of writing your notes down and remember them better.

If you want that version, you can grab it here, pay what you like.

I might need to come up with something for old forgetfuls like myself, so I don't drop the ball again.
