The Truth Gets Told Inside That Cage

"The truth gets told inside that cage."

That's what MMA fighter Sam Polk told me when I interviewed him for his upcoming bout against Danny Trejo (not that one) this weekend at Fusion Fight League.

Oddly enough, he said that a few days before the most recent Contender Series, where Bella Mir, the daughter of Frank Mir, had to face the truth about her career.

She's not ready for the UFC...

...yet!

Alex Apodaca

For everything young Mir did right, Apodaca just had a better answer for.

She was calm, paid no attention to the odds or hype of her opponent. She focused on fighting her fight. She used her reach advantage to pump her jab at Mir, enough times to earn the victory.

That doesn't mean Mir is bad; it just means Apodaca was ready to adapt.

Now the question is, how will she adapt in the UFC?

The fights are only going to get tougher from here. Will she be able to decision her way up the rankings when she gets booked?

Something to take note of before we see her again.

Taking notes on this and other events?
