Jake Paul's Game of Edges

Jake Paul and his team are not as dumb as we like to think they are.

The matches he takes, especially if his team over at Most Valuable Promotions is the one paying the bill for the event he's headlining, need to be the " A-side," as Floyd Mayweather Jr. said when he made his bout with Conor McGregor.

I have a few thoughts on the matchup between Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul.

But the thing that makes me scratch my chin is the 245 lb. limit for Joshua.

Joshua has come in over 250 for his last three matches.

Paul likes having some sort of edge on all his opponents, and on paper, there are none for Joshua. Unless they think that making Joshua cut the weight will work in Paul's favor.

When I saw the details of the bout, I wrote a full piece about it over on Substack; you can check it out here.

In it, I detail Joshua's last three weigh-ins.

It was also revealed during the pre-event presser that a bigger ring will be used. I posted on Twitter/X why that matters (see below), but check out the Substack piece for some other factors you might be missing in this circus.

Weigh-in results:

Here's where they came in; you be the judge.

You can use the Notion template that got you on this list to see what plays out, and share it online.

If you're looking for more tools to help you with your content, I'm working on a few things that should come to you for the new year.

Will you be watching this match?
