That's what the odds are for Reinier de Ridder to win by decision/points over Brendan Allen this weekend on Fanduel.

I know I've been writing a lot about picking fights lately, and if you're getting this, it's because you grabbed the Fight Night Companion. But, I also like de Ridder and have been following him for a while.

I talk about notes on fighters you like, well — de Ridder is a fighter I like.

So, why do I think he beats Allen that way?

They're both relatively young, although Allen is younger (29) and de Ridder is in his prime at 35.

They both have roughly the same experience, and both have black belts in BJJ, so they probably cancel each other out there. But, I give de Ridder the edge there too since he's also a Judo black belt and grappled one of the Ruotolo's without getting submitted.

Allen has only lost by submission once, so I don't think de Ridder can finish him.

Which, to me, leaves only their dimensions, where de Ridder has the slight reach and height advantage.

Of course, anyone can land a lucky punch.

But I don't think these guys are those types of guys.

These guys want to prove something. De Ridder has more to lose since he's currently ranked above Allen. Allen has nothing to lose, which means he could throw caution to the wind and try to land that lucky punch.

He'll have to get past that reach to do it, though.

It should be interesting.

Feel free to add these notes to your Fight Night Companion. I'll remember not to forget to put my money where my mouth is for this one, since it's a fighter I like that I believe will win.

If you disagree, feel free to tell me what your notes tell you.
